The collection was all forms of tribal energy reflective of powerful women. The Jungle Dress was the show stopping piece and was worn by none other than the original J.Lo.
Moving on from the runway, Jennifer Lopez is back to reinvent the collection in a futuristic campaign by Versace. The new campaign by Versace seems to be creating a contrast between nature and modern technology. It is also reflective of the women being a strong source of nature, taking up a new modern identity. The central theme of the campaign is self-love. We can interpret it by the bold shots given by Lopez herself. Other famous faces of the brand like Kendall Jenner will also be a part of the campaign.
The campaign showcases power dressing in a bolder, new avatar. Along with power shoulders, blazing suits, it also features the season’s specials. These include kitten heels, strappy sandals, minimal bags and dramatic necklines. The menswear line does not feature such revealing pieces but more of printed shirts and patterned suits.
“It’s a dream to collaborate with my friend, Donatella, again on this campaign and to create something new and fresh out of a piece of iconic fashion history”, said Lopez in reference to the campaign. We all remember what the original Jungle Dress did for J.Lo’s career back in the 2000s. The dress and Jennifer in it were the reason why Google Image Search was born. Not only the fashion industry, but literally, everyone will always remember her and Versace for inspiring the idea!
